How to Measure your Ring Size at Home: An Easy Step by Step Guide

When it comes to buying a ring, getting the right size is crucial. But not everyone has the time or opportunity to go to a jeweller to get their finger measured. Fortunately, you can easily measure your ring size at home with just a few simple tools and steps.

Buying a gift for someone? Trying to find out their ring size?

Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Gather Materials

All you'll need is a piece of string or dental floss and a ruler or measuring tape.

Step 2: Measure your Finger

Take the string or dental floss and wrap it around the base of the finger you want the ring to go on. The string should be exactly where the ring would be. Make sure the string or floss is snug but not too tight. Cut the string or make a mark on it with a marker so that you know exactly the right size.

Step 3: Measure the String

Lay the string flat down and use the ruler or measuring tape to measure its length in millimeters.

Step 4: Check the Size Chart

Use this chart to determine your ring size.

For example: If the length of your string was 14.0 mm by using the chart you'll see that your ring size would be 3. If it was 16.0mm it would be 5.5 etc.
